A valid ID document
The first requirement is to identify yourself. Any serious cannabis social club verifies the identity of anyone who wants to join, because access is members-only and the association must keep a record of who belongs to it. You will need a valid official document:
- DNI, if you are a resident of Spain.
- NIE or residence card, if you are a foreign resident.
- Passport, if you are visiting the city.
Meeting the club’s minimum age
Access is limited to adults. You must meet the minimum age set by the club: each association sets its own minimum age of access within the legal framework, and some are stricter than the general limit. A prior application and membership sign-up
You cannot walk straight in off the street. The usual route is a prior application: you sign up as a member, provide your details, and the association processes your admission. Accepting the club’s rules

Grasshopper Weed Club (also known as Grasshopper Club Social) is a private cannabis association in the Sant Antoni neighbourhood of the Eixample. It is located at Carrer de Calàbria, 29 and opens from 12:00 to 23:00, seven days a week. Beyond the requirements, it is a community space: pool tables, board games, sports on screen (football, Formula 1, NFL), a pet-friendly atmosphere and wheelchair-accessible entry.
